rippysnipes Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 trying to get back into bad company 2 and don't remember that slight mouse lag ever being a problem, but that was on old windows xp, i'm using windows 8.1 64 bit and have put the game in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers, which fixes most games, also markc mouse fix has already been done, anyone know something else for this game?
MuntyYy Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 You can try to lower the polling rate to 500, disable cortana from regedit & close synapse if you've got razer
rippysnipes Posted June 20, 2018 Author Posted June 20, 2018 true, old game, no synapse, ss rival 300 at 1000hz, tried lowing it but that doesn't make a difference, disable cortana via regedit?, thats a windows 10 feature isn't it, or do you mean disable DWM aero/desktop composition or whatever that is, might go and sus that out
MuntyYy Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Ignore the cortana thing, indeed its an annoyance that only windows 10 has. It's a shame that such a polished game has bad input and acceleration. "Yaw and pitch factor must be set to 0.5 for the calculations to be correct." - you did that I assume ?
rippysnipes Posted June 20, 2018 Author Posted June 20, 2018 yeah its set to 0.5, knowing all this mouse sensitivity, proper fov and calculation stuff guess i didn't notice these things years ago, cheers for the suggestions though
potato psoas Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Pretty sure it's the Steam version of the game that has the acceleration and that the Origin version is fine. MuntyYy 1

rippysnipes Posted June 20, 2018 Author Posted June 20, 2018 its the origin version, there''s are few more things to try yet, changing RenderAheadLimit=0 instead if 2 in settings.ini seems to help
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted June 20, 2018 Wizard Posted June 20, 2018 The Origin version worked very well for me without any tuning. The Steam and old DVD versions are horrible.

rippysnipes Posted June 20, 2018 Author Posted June 20, 2018 might try limiting the fps with nvidia inspector then rtss, don't like vysnc its always disabled

rippysnipes Posted June 23, 2018 Author Posted June 23, 2018 changed Scheme0Sensitivity=0.350000 to Scheme0Sensitivity=0 last night just to see what would happen, it definitely affects and slows down mouse movement, which makes me think would you get a better calculation if it was set to Scheme0Sensitivity=0.500000, same with every other value there?
rippysnipes Posted June 24, 2018 Author Posted June 24, 2018 sorted it out, just needed to put the games on another hdd separated from windows
