fanatycme Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Which is better to set? the default value is 1, and if i set the value to 0 it feels different, some pros are using 0 and on some sites they said to use 0. I dont think it's a placebo, it really feels different between 1 and 0... I have raw input on. Which value are u suggesting?
fanatycme Posted March 6, 2016 Author Posted March 6, 2016 The param does nothing unless you have -useforcedmparms in the launcher. it does, it feels different, try it
Quackerjack Posted November 17, 2018 Posted November 17, 2018 digging this thread out hes right m_mousespeed 1 adds some kind of mouse smoothing. Do 0 if u use high sense and 1 if u have low
Quackerjack Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 if someone interested i found this: https://www.hltv.org/blog/13694/the-mouse-movement-problem-in-csgo-explained-in-detail i didnt test that things cause i stopped playing cs because of its weird mouse feeling. I mean what can we expect from a game that is developed for xbox 360. But that explains why a lot cs 1.6 legends give up on this game
MuntyYy Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 A bunch of nonsense is written in that post. But there is a difference between m_mousespeed 1 and 0. A lot of cs 1.6 legends "gave up" on GO since it was firstly announced due to personal preferences and not cuz of its mouse movement. Furthermore, steam pushed updates on 1.6 that essentially broke the game at that time which only intensified their frustration.
MuntyYy Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 (edited) I find CS:Source to have the best mouse input out of all the cs games. CS 1.6 its almost as good, CS: GO feels the same when playing offline when going online however, it starts to act up. Closing chrome and pretty much everything else should fix its "lagging problem". Quackerjack Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 a lot of cs 1.6 players gave up because the reason u said, thats true but also alot players gave up because they cant use there old mouse settings. Also if u watch cs pros stream they struggle on easy shots sometime. This is a good video where u can see how smooth his aim is in 1.6 and how hard in go

MuntyYy Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 19 minutes ago, Quackerjack said: thats true but also alot players gave up because they cant use there old mouse settings. The reason is the FOV. In 1.6 you had 73.74 / 4:3.
Quackerjack Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 @skidushe because the accel is easier to master with low sensitivity. In 1.6 the players played with a higher overall sensitivity as in csgo. @MuntyYy u can play csgo 4:3 also and its different
MuntyYy Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 (edited) Well.. you can play cs 1.6 in 16:9 but the FOV will still be 73.74 (4:3). GO scales the FOV with the resolution, 1.6 doesn't do that. Edited November 19, 2018 by MuntyYy
Quackerjack Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 yes but the last time i played 1.6 u could only choose 4:3 so 16:9 doesnt matter or did they changed?
MuntyYy Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 (edited) Basically, CS 1.6 FOV is Vert - ( here is some useful info ). That being said, when you play it on a wide screen monitor, it "decreases the vertical component of the FOV", but the horizontal one remains unchanged with little to no stretching or distortion. Edit: I've attached a photo for a better understanding. Edited November 20, 2018 by MuntyYy
Famatic Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 Personally I don't think it is right or even wise to tell people to use acceleration. It is your own personal opinion, I don't think forcing your own ideals on others is helpful. As for m_mousespeed 0 vs 1 ... when in doubt use 0. There's something with this setting on 1 that makes mouse movement really weird. At one point I thought it might enable some sort of acceleration. All I know is that I feel mouse movement being better with this setting set to 0. That could be just me, but that is my take on this setting. Feel free to test it out yourself . Skidushe 1
Quackerjack Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 (edited) yea thats what i mean u right its my own opinion but also most players play like that so i advisted the mainstream, everybody need try out hisself @MuntyYy ah thats what u mean, nice to know! @MuntyYy Edited November 20, 2018 by Quackerjack
Quackerjack Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 would be nice if someone can test it m_mousespeed 1 vs 0. There is definitely a difference. Just do a spray with 1 and 0 and u know what i mean
Traxilla Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 Been testing it out myself going back and forth for weeks, theres absolutely no way it can be placebo. Dunno what it is tho.
Quackerjack Posted February 3, 2019 Posted February 3, 2019 with 1 it feels like u are gliding on ice. Both are the same cm in 360, but still different feeling like 1 is faster. I use 0 but i just want to know what this is
