Desktop/Windows distance is way off. Please help me

EDIT : I fixed the problem the topic can be LOCKED. Thanks.

Hello guys!

The problem is that after I enter all the needed information it says that: 16.256 cm is needed to move mouse cursor across the screen. (i guess that means to move the cursor from the left edge of the screen to far right.)

If I calculate the distance by myself it results to 10,2 cm(i calculate from sensor start position to final position). That's a big difference.

I am using a Logitech G403 mouse. DPI is set to 300 and WPS is 6(default). Acceleration is turned off.

I used the DPI analyzer and it shows that there is a deviation of 62%. WHAT?!

Very strange. That means your true DPI is closer to 500, which is drastically different. The discrepancy is usually like < 3% with Logitech G403.

Do a DPI Analyzer test to measure the true DPI of your mouse. With your current results, it seems like your actual DPI is 478.

The reason why I think your DPI is off, or there is something wrong with your configuration, is because the math is easy and is correct in the calculator.

If you have 1920 pixels horizontally, and each count moves 1 pixel (WPS 6, no accel), and the number of counts per inch is equal to your DPI, then:

1920 / 300 * 2.54 = 16.256 cm

I tried with a zowie FK2 and I got the same problem. I will try later on from another PC and see how that works out. Maybe there is something wrong with my pc.
