Warframe Calculation Inaccurate

I calculated Warframe's 360 distance for my sensitivity to be about m1uyIY0.png, however ingame my 360 distance is about 14.5 inches with the same settings.

I'll check if there's been any update to the sensitivity algorithm.

Nothings changed as far as I can tell. Does the distance change if you set the FOV to 65?

The distance does change. I have a QCK+ and at 65 FOV and 0 sens, 800 dpi, my 360 distance is more than my mousepad, over 17 inches.

Actually I was slightly mistaken. Your FOV is different in your Orbiter as well as in Relays and Cetus. The numbers I provided above were accurate to those locations. While in a mission with the same sensitivity settings and 78 FOV my sensitivity is about 11.2 inches 360, which is still above what it should be if the calculator is correct. At 65 FOV it becomes about 13.4 inches 360.

Ok, that's the reason then. Good to know! 11.2 is correct, that small discrepancy can be the sensor nor being exactly 800 DPI.

Wait, so this analyzer is wrong? vZfNd3y.jpg

The analyzer is correct, but it's unlikely (but not impossible) that you are getting 0% deviation. Even the best mouse I have tested with a machine with 0.005 inches accurate movement are off by about 1%.

Remember that the goal of the analyzer is not to hit 0%, but to move the exact physical distance and then check the deviation. You should not even be looking at the analyzer when you move the mouse.

I seeeeeeeeeee.

I didn't know that aspect about the analyzer. I guess that's why sometimes when players switch mice they perform a bit differently? That and the fact that the shape is different, but I'd expect that the small deviations make a difference?

Correct. The difference can be as much as 10% between different mice!

That's definitely interesting. Thanks for the insight and the time :D
