Famatic Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 Hello. So I was testing this desktop mode to compare some DPI's to CS:GO. However it gives the exact same numbers on both DPI's, which is really weird in my opinion. So I tried 400 DPI and it gives me sensitivity "2.51563" 360° rotation: 16.262 inches Then at 800 DPI it gives me Sensitivity: sensitivity "2.51563" 360° rotation: 8.131 inches It seems to give same sensitivity, only the 360 changes. I'm very positive that can't be right. Correct me if I'm wrong though.
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted September 7, 2015 Wizard Posted September 7, 2015 This might seem counterintuitive at first, but since the desktop mode matches your Windows sensitivity, changing DPI does not change the sensitivity. When you move your mouse in Windows from the center of your screen to the edge of the screen with 400 DPI, that's 2.4 inches with 1920x1080. Desktop mode matches this to CS:GO so that moving the crosshair to what you see at the very edge of your screen is also 2.4 inches. So if you just double the DPI, the distance is halved, but the sensitivity stays the same. Makes sense? What makes the sensitivity change however, is changing the FOV, resolution, or using a different DPI in Windows and in the game.
Famatic Posted September 7, 2015 Author Posted September 7, 2015 I see, I see. It does make sense. Thank you very much for the clarification.
