Mouse 360 distance not what it says on the calculator?

If you have a Logitech G mouse or keyboard available, I can give you a script to verify the calculations in the games.

I'll have to check in my attic if I still have my old G500.

The DPI Analyzer is showing that at 400DPI with a 20cm target distance and my browser zoom at 100% that my mouse is 2% out, which is probably an acceptable level considering the variables of manually moving the mouse around.I'm using one of these cutting mats with measurements on so it's pretty accurate:

So this tells me that my mouse is pretty accurate which tally's up with the fact that my 360 distance in Squad matches the Calculator. There must be an issue my end somewhere that is PUBG specific somehow.

I've just checked my 360 distance in Squad using the same cutting mat and it is near on a perfect 30cm which matches the calculator perfectly.

Definitely sounds like something is up with PUBG indeed. Can you PM me the entire config file?

Yes sure, I just also tried creating a completely new mouse profile just to rule that out but I still got the same 26cm 360 distance in PUBG instead of 30cm. I'll PM you that file shortly.

I have exactly the same issue, it seems to have something to do with the aspect ratio. At 3440 x 1440 the reported distance in the calculator is 30 cm but in game is 26 cm. If I change my in game res to 2560 x 1440 the distance becomes 30 cm.

Thanks!

Does the ADS FOV change as well for ultrawide? Because in the calculator the ADS FOV seems locked regardless of what I set the FOV to.

It's locked to a ratio of the base FOV which is 80. I need to check if this base FOV changes with AR.

BTW, a workaround for now:

  • Enter a 16:9 resolution like 2560x1440
  • Enter your FOV when FOV Type Hdeg is selected
  • Change FOV Type to Vdeg
  • Change resolution to 21:9.

What happens then is that the vertical FOV is preserved and the FOV for 21:9 is correct.

Great, that works. So if I want the horizontal FOV to actually be 103 , I should set it in game to 87 if I understood this correctly.
