mgx305 Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 (edited) zoom_sensitivity_ratio_mouse 1 in CS:GO creates a 1:1 sensitivity relative to the screen edges not relative to the ingame degrees like "Aim Down Sights" at 100% in SIEGE. Is it possible to do such a 1:1 sensitivity in SIEGE or do I have to pick 1 out of 3 sights, to do my CSGO to SIEGE conversion, like the "IRON SIGHT" (as I do majority of my aiming and shooting through 1x sights) Is there a "Aim Down Sights" % that will achieve precisely 1:1 sensitivity so when I'm zoomed in and the target on the left is 5cm from centre on my screen will take the same mouse movement as if I was zoomed out and there was a different target but in the exact same position ON MY SCREEN i.e. 5cm from centre. ?? my settings: MouseYawSensitivity=50MousePitchSensitivity=50 ( don't understand what those 2 do but those are my settings:) MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit=0.002918 XFactorAiming=0.033336 I have matched the SIGE FOV to CSGO "90" Actual VFOV: 73.74 degrees Actual HFOV: 106.26 degrees by doing DefaultFOV=73.74 in SIEGE [I might try DefaultFOV=81.93 as its matched to CS:GO's "90" in "IRON SIGHT" mode] sorry, this question probably has been adressed somewhere before but I could not find it CALCULATIONS Counter-Strike: Global Offensive - Hipfire (Advanced) Sensitivity 1: sensitivity "1.9" Multiplier 1: m_yaw "0.022" 360° rotation: 21.5311 inches Config FOV: fov_cs_debug 90 Actual VFOV: 73.74 degrees Actual HFOV: 106.26 degrees Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege - Iron sight Sensitivity 1: MouseYawSensitivity=50 Sensitivity 2: AimDownSightsMouse=50 Multiplier 1: MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit=0.002918 Multiplier 2: XFactorAiming=0.033336 360° rotation: 21.5308 inches Discrepancy: -0.0014% (-0.0003 inches) Config FOV: Field of View: 58.72 Actual VFOV: 52.84 degrees Actual HFOV: 82.91 degrees CALCULATIONS for Hipfire 73.74 to match CS:GO's "90" fov Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege - Hipfire Sensitivity 1: MouseYawSensitivity=50 Multiplier 1: MouseSensitivityMultiplierUnit=0.002918 360° rotation: 21.5325 inches Config FOV: Field of View: 73.74 Actual VFOV: 73.74 degrees Actual HFOV: 106.26 degrees Edited December 3, 2017 by mgx305
mgx305 Posted December 3, 2017 Author Posted December 3, 2017 46 minutes ago, Drimzi said: Since the aim sensitivity is just a multiplier, and all the aims have different fovs, you can only match to one of them. Match to one with the highest fov, and let the rest scale in their own way from that. Having a sensitivity be a little slower when using a high zoom is much less noticeable than it being too fast. If you want to match by pure distance, like 5cm as you say, then you need to use monitor distance match. Optically, at different fovs, your brain will not judge distances in this manner though. Viewspeed v2 will give you the best results for maintaining muscle memory at different fovs, allowing you to snap accurately, despite the monitor distance being dynamic. Thank you so much for help
mgx305 Posted December 3, 2017 Author Posted December 3, 2017 (edited) yea, I'm trying Iron sight atm with 50%* Aim Down Sights, which I have no idea how accurate it is, but feels ok. Will need to find a way to measure it somehow. It's quite surprising that a game that aspires to be competitive like CS:GO with a pro scene has no option to unify sensitivities...
