Quackerjack Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 (edited) Hi, is the sensitivity influenced by the fps number? I ask this because i got the feeling if i cap my fps at a constant number the sensitivity feels slower. If i uncap the sensitivity it feels a bit faster. So if u have fluctuating fps numbers the sensitivity becomes fast and slow, even with raw input. I googled it a lot and some ppl say yes some no. Hope some wizard can help me on that Edited November 6, 2017 by Quackerjack
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted November 6, 2017 Wizard Posted November 6, 2017 For some games, but that's a bug/bad coding in the game. It's mentioned in the notes for the game if it is the case.
Quackerjack Posted November 6, 2017 Author Posted November 6, 2017 I talk about Csgo with raw input on. I know if raw input off its change ur sensitivity 100 percent, but i got the feeling with raw input on its the same.
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted November 6, 2017 Wizard Posted November 6, 2017 I don't know of any issues in CSGO regarding this, it should stay the same regardless of FPS.
WhoCares? Posted November 6, 2017 Posted November 6, 2017 (edited) The Source engine including CS:GO has and anomaly when capping fps Don't cap your fps in CS:GO especially at the same number as your tickrate! The original source unfortunately got deleted :/ I only have this picture to show what I mean (Note: I do not created this graph.) Regarding your questtion tho: No, fps do not effect sensitivity in CS:GO, but dawtimes on the Frames when capped. In other games I still recommend capping fps so your aim feels more consistent, but only when there is a build in fps-limiter into the game. All third party tool will add input-lag! NoSafety Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Which makes it feel a little faster because it responds quicker, I get that but just play uncapped or max out the frame limiter, Can't feel much difference between games 500+ fps on CS, 300 on Overwatch , 1000 on Aim Hero. They all feel the same when moving the cursor IMO just starting and stopping that feels slightly different because of the response time.
