Wizard DPI Wizard Posted December 15, 2013 Author Wizard Posted December 15, 2013 They are using the same game engine and sensitivity. What you see as min and max in the menus are usually not the limits of the game, you need to edit the config file to go beyond these values
Guest Counter Strike Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 How can I check for my self if it's accurate?
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted December 15, 2013 Author Wizard Posted December 15, 2013 It's a little tricky, but I'll add a feature that will do this for you in the upcoming app. For Source games you should stay below 3 though to be on the safe side.
Guest Whirligig Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Because I love making you work, in addition to the menu, you can adjust the fov by using the command set cg_fov in the autoexec.cfg or the console. set cg_fov ""120""
Guest Jack Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Do you know what FOV is 4:3, 1024x768, im using 800 DPI, i play at 1.38, i'm trying to convert this to battlefield 4, need some help, is the FOV 74, or 90?
Guest Jack Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Forgot one thing, its for counter strike global offensive, do you know the command to change your actual FOV?
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted December 16, 2013 Author Wizard Posted December 16, 2013 If you haven't changed the FOV in CS:GO, leave the default value in the calculator. 74 is the vertical FOV, 90 is the horizontal.
Guest Munty Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Hi Dpi Wizard. i have in cs go : 0.73 - 600 dpi, in cod4-0.4646... but in bo2 its says to high sens or dpi, i think its a problem there, cuz the lowest sensitivty in bo2 is 0.1, i know its exactly as in cs go but.. i dont know why it says that
Guest Cynhtedic Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 i dont think im working this right. can somebody show me how and what settings to put? i currently use razer deathadder 3500dpi BUT i use 400dpi for FPS games. my sensitivity in BF4 is 32%. I want my CSGO to match it.
Guest DPI Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 How do I know how much DPI I need? Is there some kind of math formula? I heard of (Vertical # of pixels) x 2.667 / number of inches for a 180. I don't know if this is right I just want a formula or Calculator or something to figure out how much DPI I need to avoid pixel skipping in CSGO.
Guest DPI Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I would love to know for Counter Strike GO. I use 500 DPI with a 2.5 sens. This should be good but what about 400 DPI 3.0 or 3.5 or a lot others.
Guest Michael W Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Is this really the same sensitivity? CoD4/CS:GO Both, sensitivity 0.6 Both same FOV I'd be really happy if you could just tell me that everything is working as it should and I shouldn't worry about wrong values. Thank you and great service!
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted January 6, 2014 Author Wizard Posted January 6, 2014 This is correct. The CoD and CS series both use the same sensitivity algorithms. They do however differ in how and if they are affected by FOV and WPS, but with default FOV they will always be the same. PS: The default FOV is not the same in those games, so it's correct that they are different
Guest evilownz Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Is it necessary to add -noforce cmds into CS:GO and CS:Source shortcuts? Or just setting raw input and no accel in menus will do the job to give me defined mouse sens value calculated here without acceleration? Same question for other valve games like HL2 and TF2 do i need to put anything into launch shortcut properties?
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted January 8, 2014 Author Wizard Posted January 8, 2014 If you have the option for raw mouse input, that is enough. I will test the -noforce commands when I have the chance for older versions of the games.
Guest CSGO Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 I am sorry but for CSGO at least for me the sensitivity is wrong. When I am on 4:3 my sensitivity is exactly the same when I am on 16:9. I went from one side of my Mouse pad to the other and did a 270 both times.
Wizard DPI Wizard Posted January 9, 2014 Author Wizard Posted January 9, 2014 The sensitivity is the same for 4:3 and 16:9, this is correct for CSGO. Is raw mouse input on, and acceleration off? And lastly, are you using the default FOV?
Guest C oLD Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Should be easy for you lol, turn of mouse accel, raw input on, and in console type in sensitivity ***
StoneColeQ™ Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I think the calculations for CS:GO are broken. It could just be from me but my mouse pad is 12 inches long and I set my mouse setting for 14 inches for a 360 but I complete the 360 before the mouse pad ends. I then set it to 12 inches for a 360 but then it falls short. As I said it may just be for me but I still can't ""trust"" the setting the calculations give me. I only can use the calculations of a reference point to find the sensitivity I am looking for.
Guest SpookyVII Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 It sound like you didn't put in the right FOV. If you are playing on a 16:9 monitor, your FOV is 106, you have to put that in. 90 FOV is if you have a 4:3 monitor. Hope this helped
StoneColeQ™ Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 People keep telling me that 4:3 resolution is 68 FOV and 16:9 is 90 FOV. However I just did some calculations and it seems 80 FOV is what I need to set to get my sensitivity. As said it may just be me but right now I'm confused.
