Milim Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 By any chance could you figure out the ADS fov's and the games fov when zoomed out from your character (+ and - keys)
Krio Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 I'd like to note that, unless recently changed, the ADS sensitivity is different depending on the weapon (even if its the same FOV). So noting which weapon you recorded the sensitivity on is helpful. Hopefully that will change in the future so we can have FOV Relative sensitivity scaling instead of whatever random number the devs feel is right. Also I have a question about using the different FOV Relative options, given the option of moving the camera further back or forward with + and -, does that affect the calculation in any significant manner? I'm not exactly sure how you would be able to consistently change the camera position, other than using the closest or furthest available option. For games with much to be desired sensitivity options, I'd like to have some sort of DPI Shift calculation for a macro (a 'sniper' button).
Krio Posted October 13, 2020 Posted October 13, 2020 I think I'm going to retract my statement about different sensitivity on the same FOV as I can't seem to replicate it. They may of changed it or I was mistaken many years back. However, could you bring back the ability to change the FOV in the calculation? Different weapons still have different FOV's depending on their base stats and modifications. These are visable on the APBDB.com website. The default rifle in the game is 45 FOV for ADS and the default pistol is 60 FOV for ADS. Having a DPI shift calculation would still be nice so you could have your marksmanship tuned for both weapons but one has to use a DPI shift button. Thanks! TLDR: Bring back option to change FOV in calculation. Also DPI Shift Calculation Suggestion

It does not change FOV or sensitivity, just the distance to your character. So technically nothing changes with the sensitivity, but it might be perceived differently since the distance to the center of rotation changes. Added manual weapon FOV now as Sensitivity 2, so just enter the FOV of your weapon there. Krio 1
Krio Posted November 6, 2020 Posted November 6, 2020 Upon further inspection, there seems to be an editable .ini file for APB. requires account relog for options to take effect but they do persist. Config file: UserOptions.ini Path: [GAMEINSTALLDIRECTORY]\APB Reloaded\APBGame\Config\Account\[USERID] MouseSensitivity= Minimum: MouseSensitivity=0.01 Default: MouseSensitivity=40 Maximum: MouseSensitivity=140 MarksmanshipMouseSensitivity= Minimum: MarksmanshipMouseSensitivity=0.01 Default: MarksmanshipMouseSensitivity=40 Maximum: MarksmanshipMouseSensitivity=140 CharacterCameraViewScalar= Minimum: CharacterCameraViewScalar=0.000000 Default: CharacterCameraViewScalar=-1.000000 (Sets to 0 in game) Maximum: CharacterCameraViewScalar=1.000000 VehicleCameraViewScalar= Minimum: VehicleCameraViewScalar=0.000000 Default: VehicleCameraViewScalar=-1.000000 (Sets to 0 in game) Maximum: VehicleCameraViewScalar=1.000000 bEnableMouseSmoothing=False You can also edit the DefaultUserOptions.ini under \APB Reloaded\APBGame\Config and use that to swap between settings assuming it was edited before the account is logged into. If you want to make a change to either ini without completely restarting the game, you an edit the .ini, Return to lobby (logout), and join a district. This will grab the new settings for use in game. It would be interesting to see how much camera position has an effect on Viewspeed/Monitor Distance calculations. Many players choose the most zoomed out setting (1.0) to have an easier time looking around corners without exposing yourself to gunfire.
